Catalyst design for plastic waste & CO2 valorization into value-added chemicals

My research focuses on developing catalytic technologies to efficiently convert plastic waste (e.g., HDPE, LDPE, PP, and PS) and CO2 into valuable chemicals and energy carriers. Employing an integrated approach, we combine high-throughput performance assessment under relevant industrial conditions with scalable catalyst preparation routes and detailed elucidation of their properties through advanced characterization, establishing synthesis-structure-function relations. By collaborating with multiple experts from academia and industry, our goal is to pioneer innovative solutions for advancing towards a circular economy driven by the valorization of plastic waste and CO2.
